The American Society of Nephrology (ASN)  is proud to present “Women’s Renal Health Across the Decades a program about treating women with kidney disease and optimizing general and reproductive health this November.

San Diego, CA – Tues 3 November – Wednesday 4 November 2015.

The ASN leads the fight against kidney disease by educating health professionals, sharing new knowledge, advancing research, and advocating the highest quality care for patients. The Women’s Renal Health Across the Decades early program spans the life of a woman with kidney disease. Clinical experts will discuss each stage in a woman’s life, from the complexities of adolescence to post-menopausal care, with an extensive review of caring for women during the reproductive years. Through case illustrations, the program will explore pregnancy counselling and management at each stage of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) including post transplantation with a focus on some of the more common glomerular diseases during pregnancy as well as the challenging task of diagnosing preeclampsia. Finally, the program will focus on the postmenopausal woman with CKD with an emphasis on prevention and management.

The program will conclude with a unique lecture on the future of women’s health research.
